Life In Control?

Probably a situation that is happening to hundreds and thousands of people around the globe, where one feels that they simply have no authority or control over their own lives. One might be exposed in a helpless position and their mind would play with them for every single minute. Your family members, friends would take decisions on behalf of you (which they feel is correct, as you are lost into a world where you just don’t care or you are way too blank to see things around and make decisions). There might be days wherein you would take your own decision but they would again be changed by the people surrounded by you, feeling that this isn’t the best one. The same set of individuals would continue to make choices for you. What happens next? You will have to bear the consequences which come with the choices that were made for you.

To get back life on track you need to come back in action and make some major mental shifts. Focus on what you wish to do and how bad you want your life and the decisions related to it – Lit the light of hope and hang on to it. Don’t let people’s behaviour or blame govern you. Do remember one thing, The truth – we can’t take charge of every single thing which goes into our lives, so go with the flow and awaken your sense of responsibility.

“At times you would need to leave the image of life which you created in your head and absorb the smallest amount of joy which comes along” – Preety Sharda

When it comes to responsibilities, there are times when things do go wrong and out of the plan, you don’t have to panic as there would be nothing that you could have done to avoid the same. Don’t let others victimize you; the role was yours but not the situation and the responsibility. Remember this is your life we are talking about, don’t go to change the world – fix your house first, pick up the broken pieces and leave others to handle their world.

Come out of your daily routine and don’t stress yourself too much, don’t get disturbed by your phones (this was your reel world and now time for real). You will hear the same things by the same people over and over again, your mind won’t adapt to things and the anxiety levels will increase. But you need to find a balance between your physical and mental state. Find yourself a quiet and peaceful place to escape over-excitement, spend time with nature and fill your mind with ease. Do not get hampered by those around you – set boundaries for difficult people and move away from negative remarks.

Encourage yourself with positive thoughts and good people who would listen to your thoughts and would give a piece of good advice to implement the same. Try and improve your mental and physical state, assess your mood and work on those – discuss with those who you trust. Let your body and mind rest for a while, you don’t have to figure out everything at one go – stop and decide. There are lots to learn, push yourself in that direction, adapt to new things, explore new ideas and make yourself more approachable to people. Practice meditation, concentrate on the improvements and fight your failures. Ensure that you are making yourself aware of things and reflect on your decisions. Realize your emotional strength and inner emotions (don’t let it play with you), let them go through you.

Pay attention to what you can choose, rather than running behind on what you can’t control. You have lots of choices, choose what to do next, feel about the impact and move ahead in life.
